Unplug to Reconnect Weekend

26–28 September 2025 | Sant Elm Castle | 10 places only

Busy, burnt out, and pulled in every direction?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or like life’s moving too fast — you’re not alone.

Maybe you’re craving more space. More clarity. A chance to stop spinning and start feeling again. To reconnect with what — and who — really matters.

Invest in yourself.

A gentle, spacious weekend designed to help you simplify, reset, and come back to yourself. Two immersive days to breathe, reflect, and realign — far from screens, stress, and expectations.

You’ll leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded in what you truly want and need.

What’s this all about?

It’s more than just a digital detox. This is a beautifully curated weekend retreat from the busyness of everyday life — a chance to slow down and reconnect with what really matters.

You’ll spend two full days in an extraordinary 13th-century castle, surrounded by forest paths, sea views, and the soft rhythm of nature.

It’s an invitation to reset — through good food, meaningful conversation, and time away from screens. You’ll share the space with a small group of like-minded people, all here for the same reason: to take a breath, find some clarity, and feel more like themselves again. You’ll eat well, sleep deeply, move gently, laugh more, think clearly — and return home a little lighter, more yourself again.

What you’ll leave with

Beyond the joy of unplugging in nature, you’ll take home much more than memories.
You’ll leave with:

  • Renewed clarity about what truly matters — and what no longer serves you
  • Practical tools and simple practices you can use daily to stay centred, grounded, and present
  • A fresh connection to your own rhythms — how to pause, breathe, and respond rather than react
  • Your own reflections, insights, and intentions gathered across the weekend and supported by guided journaling
  • Two coaching sessions with Paul (pre- and post-retreat) to help integrate your experience and turn it into meaningful, lasting change
  • A sense of community — new friendships, shared stories, and the reassurance that you’re not alone in seeking a slower, more intentional way of living

This retreat is just the beginning. You’ll return home with a lighter step, a fuller heart, and the tools to keep reconnecting — every day.

Who’s it for?

This is for anyone who feels the need for a proper pause.

It’s especially suited to people who’ve always felt drawn to the idea of a retreat but haven’t quite dared — maybe this is your first time stepping into something like this. If so, this is the perfect place to begin: welcoming, down-to-earth, and spacious.

It’s also for those who’ve been on other retreats but found them a bit too busy, or lacking in real connection. Here, there’s no pressure to ‘do’ — just a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe, and come back to yourself. There’s no expectation, no judgment — just a warm, relaxed space for rest, reflection, and reconnection.

What makes this different?

The place

You’ll be staying in a 13th-century castle in a peaceful and stunning corner of Mallorca — just a short walk from the sea, surrounded by forest paths and wild hills. It’s quiet, beautiful, and far from the rush. By late September, the summer crowds are gone, and the island slows to its natural rhythm.

The experience

This is a weekend to breathe again. No packed schedule. No pressure. Just time — to rest, reflect, and reconnect. A true digital detox, where phones go in a box (with an emergency number available) and presence returns. Think clear skies instead of screen time, sea air instead of noise.

It’s simple — and that’s the magic.

The people

We’ll be a small group — no more than 10 — which means this isn’t about retreating into silence, but connecting in a spacious, supportive way. It’s a place to be real, to be welcomed, and to be part of something honest and good. You’ll come as you are — and likely leave with new friendships too.

The facilitation

You’ll be held and guided by two experienced professionals who bring deep care and presence to the space.

I’m Paul — a professional coach, mentor, and outdoor facilitator. My life has taken me from diplomacy and five-star hospitality to this work I now love: creating meaningful spaces for others to reset and reconnect. I’m trained in behavioural science and systemic coaching, and have facilitated transformational experiences in nature across cultures and continents.

I’ll be joined by Lexy, a trusted co-facilitator with a warm and grounding presence. With a background in embodiment practices, psychology, and group facilitation, she brings a deeply attuned energy and a gentle strength that helps people feel safe to show up fully.

Together, we create a balanced, inclusive space where you can feel seen, supported, and free to be yourself — no pressure.

The approach

We’ll use science-backed exercises to create small but powerful moments of connection — with yourself, with nature, and with what matters most. Everything is practical, down-to-earth, and thoughtfully shaped to suit the group. You won’t need to perform or prepare — just show up.

The food

My wife Noemí will be cooking for us — and that’s something special. Expect Mediterranean ingredients and meals that are generous, joyful, and full of colour. This is food made with love, and plenty of it.

Q&A — Unplug to Reconnect

Who is leading the retreat?

The retreat is led by Paul Rodwell, a nature-connected coach, former hotelier, and senior UK diplomat who now lives full-time in the mountains of Mallorca.

Paul’s path has taken him from managing luxury lodges in remote corners of the world to shaping policy as a diplomat, always with a thread of care, presence, and connection running through it. He’s now dedicated to creating powerful, human-centred spaces that help others reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with what truly matters.

He brings a unique blend of grounded experience and soulful clarity, shaped by years of coaching, hospitality, and personal growth. Paul is also on the Advisory Board of the Mallorca Preservation Foundation and is deeply committed to protecting the land and culture of the island he calls home.

The retreat is co-facilitated by Lexy, a trusted partner with a warm, grounding presence. With a background in embodiment practices, psychology, and group facilitation, Lexy brings deep care and gentle strength to her work. Together, Paul and Lexy create a safe, inclusive, and balanced space that supports people to feel held, welcomed, and free to be themselves — whether you’re new to retreats or returning for a deeper experience.

Where is the retreat held?

The retreat takes place in the stunning natural setting of Sant Elm, Mallorca — surrounded by sea, forest, and big skies.

How can I get to Sant Elm?

Sant Elm is easily reached from Palma. We encourage public transport where possible (TIB Bus 102 from Palma to Sant Elm), and we can assist with transfer arrangements if needed.

Is this going to be fun? Will I enjoy it?

Absolutely! While we focus on reflection, clarity, and growth, the retreat is designed to be uplifting, inspiring, and positive. We believe in balancing deep connection with lightness and joy. Expect plenty of laughter, shared moments, and a sense of ease and flow. Nature will lift your spirits, and our sessions are crafted to leave you feeling energised, encouraged, and with a smile on your face.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes — in fact, it’s especially designed with beginners in mind.

If you’ve never been on a retreat before, or feel a little unsure about what to expect, you’re in exactly the right place. This is a warm, welcoming space created for people who want to pause, reflect, and reconnect — even if they’re not quite sure how to begin.

You don’t need any experience, special knowledge, or spiritual background. Just a sense that you’d like to give yourself this gift of time. We’ll gently guide you through everything, with lightness, care, and kindness.

It’s a trusted and joyful space to simply be, and a rare chance to experience one of those uplifting, heart-opening moments in life that stays with you long after it ends.

What kind of people come to this retreat?

People from many walks of life. Some are seeking clarity, some a pause, some a gentle shift in direction. Many come alone. All come with a willingness to slow down, be present, and reconnect — with themselves, with others, and with nature. The retreat draws people who value authenticity, kindness, and growth.

What is the weather like in September?

Late September is a beautiful time of year in Mallorca:

  • Daytime temperatures: 24–27°C
  • Evenings: 16–18°C
  • The sea is warm, and the sunsets are spectacular.

What is included in the price?

The price includes accommodation, nourishing meals prepared by Noemí, all activities and materials, and two one-to-one coaching sessions — one before and one after the retreat.

What should I bring?

We’ll provide a detailed packing list once you’ve confirmed your place.

Do I need to prepare anything before I come?

Not much — just yourself, as you are. A few weeks before the retreat, we’ll send you a reflection booklet and a short welcome note. These are optional but can help you arrive with more intention and presence. We’ll also include a packing list and tips for travel.

Will I have to share a room?

Rooms are twin-sharing with someone of the same gender unless you request a private room.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! We encourage friends to join together. If you bring a friend and share a twin room, you’ll each receive a discount. Please contact us for details.

What if I’m nervous about coming alone?

Most participants come alone. We create a warm, welcoming environment where connections form naturally.

Is it physically demanding?

No. Walks, swims, and movement are gentle and optional. You choose your level of participation.

Will there be time to rest or be alone?

Yes. While we’ll share meaningful moments together, we’ve designed the retreat with plenty of space for quiet reflection and rest. This is your time, and there’s no pressure to join every activity. You’re always welcome to take time for yourself — to walk, nap, journal, or simply watch the sea.

Can I use my phone during the retreat?

One of the unique gifts of this retreat is the chance to step away from the noise — including our phones.  We warmly invite you to give yourself the rare luxury of some real digital rest.

To support this, we’ll offer the option to hand in your mobile at the start of the retreat. We’ll provide an emergency contact number for your loved ones, so you can fully relax knowing you’re reachable if truly needed.

Of course, we can’t and won’t oblige you — this is an invitation, not a rule. But our sense is that your body, heart, and mind may be longing for this gentle disconnection. We’ll talk about this together when we meet, and you’ll be free to choose what feels right for you.

Do I need to be “spiritual” or have any particular beliefs?

Not at all. This retreat is rooted in nature, presence, and connection. You don’t need to come with any spiritual background — just an open heart and a willingness to be present with yourself, others, and the natural world.

Is there alcohol?

No. This is an alcohol-free retreat, with refreshing drinks like kombucha and herbal teas provided.

What if I have dietary requirements?

Just let us know in advance. We cater for vegan, gluten-free, and other needs.

What about the environment?

We care deeply about the environment and are committed to protecting the beautiful nature that surrounds us:

  • All food is organic or locally sourced wherever possible.
  • We encourage guests to offset their flights and use public transport where they can.
  • If transfers are needed, we prioritise electric or hybrid vehicles.
  • We aim to leave no trace during our time in nature.
  • 5% of the retreat’s profits will be donated to the Mallorca Preservation Foundation, supporting environmental projects across the island.

We ask that all guests come with a spirit of respect and care for nature, so we can protect this special place together.

What’s the point of the coaching sessions before and after the retreat?

The coaching sessions are here to support your journey — before, during, and beyond the retreat.

The pre-retreat coaching session is a chance to arrive with greater clarity and intention. It gives you space to explore what’s going on in your life right now, what you’re seeking, and what kind of shift or nourishment you might be longing for. It also helps you begin to prepare — practically, emotionally, and mentally — so you can step into the retreat already feeling supported.

The post-retreat session is just as important. After a meaningful experience like this, it’s easy to return to daily life and feel swept back into old habits or patterns. This one-to-one conversation gives you the space to reflect on what stood out for you, and gently explore how to carry those insights forward — into your routines, relationships, or work. It’s about helping the changes take root in your life, not just in your memory.

Both sessions are included in the retreat price because we believe real change takes time — and support. This is not a “drop in and out” experience. It’s a small group, and we’ll tailor the retreat to meet people where they are. The coaching adds a personal layer to that shared journey.

Will we stay in contact after the retreat ends?

That’s entirely up to you.

Some people love to stay connected — to the group, to me, to the community that forms through this kind of shared experience. Others prefer to take what they’ve gained and move forward quietly in their own way.

You’ll be warmly invited to be part of my wider coaching community if you’d like to stay connected — whether that’s through occasional newsletters, shared practices, follow-up retreats, or simply knowing there’s a space you can return to when needed. But there’s no pressure. You choose your rhythm, and I’ll respect it fully.

Can I extend my stay before or after the retreat?

Absolutely. If you’d like to make a longer journey of it, we’re happy to recommend hand-picked places to stay — either nearby in Sant Elm or elsewhere on the island. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful hideaway or somewhere to explore Mallorca more deeply, we can help you find something that suits your wishes. Just let us know, and we’ll do our best to support you in shaping a stay that feels special.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, we highly recommend it for peace of mind in case of any travel disruptions or emergencies.

What if I need to cancel?

To secure your place, a non-refundable deposit of €450 is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due by 30 August 2025.

If you need to cancel:

  • Before 30 August 2025: Your deposit is non-refundable, but any remaining balance paid will be fully refunded.
  • After 30 August 2025: No refunds can be given unless we are able to fill your place. If so, your balance (minus the deposit) will be returned.

You’re also welcome to transfer your place to a friend, subject to prior agreement.

If we need to cancel the retreat (e.g. if we don’t meet minimum numbers), you’ll receive a full refund.

Will there be other retreats in the future?

Yes. Our aim is to create several retreats throughout the year, nurturing an ongoing community of positivity, connection to nature, and mutual support. Guests who attend this retreat will receive a 10% discount on any future retreats as a thank you for being part of our journey.
