Slow down. Breathe again. Return to what matters.
5-8 November 2026 | Galilea, Mallorca

A sunset view from one of the houses we will be staying at in Galilea.
There are moments in life when we realise we need to pause.
Not because anything is wrong. Not because we need fixing. But because the pace of life has quietly pulled us away from ourselves.
The Reconnection Gathering is a small, carefully held residential retreat in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca for people who want to slow down, breathe more deeply and reconnect with what really matters.
Across three nights in Galilea, a beautiful, small mountain village with some of the finest views across the forests and hills of the Tramuntana towards the sea, we will gather among stone houses, open sky, terraces, trees and water. There will be time with nature, meaningful conversation, extraordinary homemade food, firelight, gentle movement, stillness, laughter and the simple joy of being human together again.
This is less about doing and more about being. Less about performance and more about presence.
Nature will be the main facilitator. Lexy and Paul will gently hold the space alongside it, creating enough structure to feel safe, and enough openness for something real to emerge.
Only around five places are available. Last year’s retreat sold out, and this gathering is offered only once a year.
To request a place, email paul@paulrodwell.com with the subject line “Reconnection Gathering — Place Request”.

A Different Rhythm
Most of us live surrounded by noise: messages, deadlines, responsibilities, screens, decisions and the quiet pressure to keep moving.
Over time, that pace can leave us feeling disconnected – from ourselves, from nature, from other people, and from a deeper sense of meaning or direction.
The Reconnection Gathering offers a different rhythm: a few days to step away from the constant movement of everyday life and return to something simpler – calm, clarity, perspective, connection and joy.
Not through pressure or intensity. Not through trying to become someone else. But through space, nature, beauty, conversation and presence.
What Makes This Gathering Different?
This is not a polished wellness retreat built around perfection or image. It is a deeply human gathering rooted in slow Mediterranean island living, village life, nature, warmth, simplicity, good food and meaningful connection.
The real luxury here is not excess. It is time. Presence. Space. Good food. Open air. Firelight. And the feeling that, for a few days at least, you no longer need to rush.
There will be slow walks through forest paths, homemade meals around shared tables, moments of quiet reflection, laughter, journalling, gentle movement and time to breathe again.
The gathering is guided with care, but not over-controlled. There will be a rhythm to the days, but not a rigid programme. We will respond to the group, the weather, the season and what feels most alive.
No previous retreat experience is needed. You do not need to be spiritual, highly fit, used to meditation or familiar with this kind of work. You simply need to feel ready for a pause.
Who This Is For
This gathering is for people who feel drawn to slow down and reconnect.
You may be a professional, a parent, a business owner, a creative, someone navigating change, or simply someone who has spent a long time looking after everyone else and now needs space to listen inwardly again.
You might feel tired, stretched, overfull, slightly disconnected or in need of perspective. Or perhaps nothing is especially wrong – but something in you knows that a few days of presence, nature, food, rest and meaningful company would do you good.
This is for people who want to come alone, with a partner, or with a friend. It is not about being a “retreat person”. It is about giving yourself the gift of time.
Welcome to Galilea
The gathering takes place in Galilea, a beautiful, small mountain village in Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains where both Lexy and Paul live, each with their respective families.
This is not a retreat centre disconnected from real life. It is our home village: a lived-in place of stone houses, forest paths, olive trees, mountain air and some of the most beautiful views across the surrounding forests and hills.
Over the years, we have come to know these paths, forests, terraces and quiet corners deeply. Part of the experience is being welcomed into a place we genuinely love, with people who know the spaces, the rhythms and the surrounding nature.
Participants will stay across a small number of carefully chosen village homes, all within a couple of minutes’ walk from one another. The houses are comfortable, characterful and rooted in the village, with wonderful views from the houses, terraces and shared spaces across the surrounding forest, hills and distant sea. The gathering unfolds naturally between homes, terraces, forest paths, firesides, swimming pools, quiet corners and the surrounding nature.
It is intimate, local and rooted in place.

Nature as the Main Facilitator
Nature is not simply the backdrop to this gathering. It is central to the experience.
The mountains, trees, weather, silence, birdsong and open skies all become part of the process. Time with nature often helps people slow their nervous system, breathe more deeply, soften their thinking and reconnect with perspective.
Things that felt tangled can begin to loosen. Clarity often emerges not by forcing it, but by allowing enough space for it to return.
Alongside nature, the space will be gently held by Lexy and Paul – two experienced facilitators who care deeply about creating environments where people feel safe, welcome, grounded and able to be themselves.
Before the gathering begins, we will have a short conversation with each participant so we can better understand where you are in life, what you are hoping for, and how best to support your experience.
Earth, Air, Water and Fire

Time with nature. Time with others. Space to reconnect.
The gathering will be held by the simple elements of village life: earth, air, water and fire.
Earth is present in the forest paths, stone terraces and mountain land beneath our feet, inviting patience, steadiness and a deeper sense of being rooted.
Air moves through the wide views, birdsong, clear Tramuntana sky and sea in the distance, inviting spaciousness, perspective and a little more room to breathe.
Water appears in moments beside the pool, and in the invitation to swim or simply sit quietly by water if the weather allows, inviting flow, softening and reflection.
Fire comes through shared meals, evening warmth, conversation and the glow of gathering together, inviting transformation, energy and connection.
This is not about adding more activity. It is about letting the natural elements help us slow down, listen and reconnect.
A Gentle Flow
This is not a retreat packed with back-to-back activities. The gathering will follow a natural rhythm shaped by the group, the weather, the landscape and the season.
Broadly, the journey will move from arrival and landing, into slowing down and listening, then into reconnecting and opening, before returning with more intention.
Across the gathering, there may be slow walks with nature, journalling, meaningful conversations, gentle movement, storytelling, forest time, outdoor meals, fireside evenings, quiet solo moments and opportunities to reflect on what matters most.
There may also be invitations to explore simple practices such as breathing, body awareness, connecting with water, foraging, fire-making, outdoor cooking and learning from the trees, forest and land around us.
Not everything will happen, and nothing is forced. The gathering will offer a rich selection of possibilities, shaped by the group, the weather, the landscape and what feels most alive.
On the first full day, we are planning a half-day walk. This will be an opportunity to activate the body, arrive more fully, and begin connecting with the surrounding nature. The walk will be adapted to the group, the weather and the conditions on the day.
There will also be space to rest, wander, journal, sit quietly, talk, laugh or simply enjoy the slower pace of village life.
The intention is not to fill every moment. The intention is to create enough space for people to reconnect – with themselves, with nature, and with those around them.
What You May Leave With
Every person will experience The Reconnection Gathering in their own way.
You may leave with a quieter mind, a softer body, a clearer sense of what matters and a deeper feeling of connection – with yourself, with nature and with the people around you.
This is not about leaving with a long list of tasks or a perfect new life plan. It is about creating enough space for something honest to emerge.
You may leave with:
- More calm in your nervous system
- A clearer sense of what you want to give your energy to
- A renewed connection with nature and the rhythms of the living world
- Greater perspective on a question, transition or decision in your life
- A sense of being more grounded, rested and alive
- Simple practices you can take back into everyday life
- A deeper appreciation of food, place, slowness and human connection
- The memory of a small group of people with whom you shared something real
You may also take home simple, practical skills and practices that support reconnection in everyday life.
Depending on the group, the weather and what feels most alive, these may include breathing practices, gentle body movement, journalling, spending time with nature, connecting with water, noticing what trees, forest and land can teach us, simple foraging, fire-making, outdoor cooking, or other nature-based practices.
The intention is not to do everything or tick off a list. It is to offer a rich selection of experiences, so you can discover what feels useful, nourishing and real for you.
Above all, we hope you leave feeling more like yourself again.
Clearer. Calmer. More connected. And perhaps with a quiet sense that another rhythm is possible.
What past participants said
Our last retreat was small, intimate and carefully held. All participants rated the experience Excellent, and all said they would definitely recommend it.
Participants especially valued the gentle rhythm, the phone-free space, the small group, the time in nature, the quality of the facilitation, and Noemí’s nourishing and delicious food.

“A pause in your life, a gift to yourself, a memory to treasure.”
“A revitalising opportunity to reconnect with nature and yourself. Time for reflection and time with like-minded people, all in a beautiful natural setting under the thoughtful and caring facilitation of Lexy and Paul.”
“An enjoyable and educational introduction to the many benefits of spending time in and engaging with nature.”
“A relaxing break and a chance to step back from life, enjoy beautiful nature and nourishing food. The invitations were varied and enriching, and enabled people to go at their own pace and level of comfort.”
“A moment to reflect and reconnect with yourself, while also connecting with and meeting very interesting people.”
Food & Nourishment

Food is a huge part of the gathering.
Meals will be prepared with love and care by Noemí, Paul’s wife, whose cooking has become quietly legendary among friends and guests over the years.
Noemí’s food is healthy, generous, delicious and deeply comforting – food balm for the soul. It is the kind of food that brings people together and makes them want to stay a little longer around the table.
Where possible, everything will be homemade and home-cooked. Ingredients will be seasonal, local and organic where possible. There may also be picnic lunches outdoors, open-fire cooking and even some foraged ingredients gathered together as part of the experience.
This is not “retreat food” in the narrow sense. It is beautiful, nourishing food made with care and shared in good company. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available throughout the gathering.
Disconnect to Reconnect
A key part of reconnecting is disconnecting.
We strongly encourage you to switch off your mobile phone for most of the day during the gathering, so you can be more fully present with nature, with others and with yourself.
This is not about punishment or strict control. It is about giving your mind, body and nervous system a rare chance to rest from constant messages, notifications and noise. If you would like extra support with this, you will be welcome to hand your phone in to the facilitators during the day and collect it later.
We recommend letting friends, family and work contacts know in advance that you will be mostly offline during the gathering. An emergency contact arrangement can be agreed if needed.
Giving Back to Place
The Reconnection Gathering is not only about personal reconnection. It is also about relationship with place.
The intention is to put aside 5% of profits for Custodis de Sa Mola Gran, a local community initiative connected to the care and protection of a beautiful piece of land at the top of Galilea – a place of forest, biodiversity, history and community significance.
During the gathering, we may spend time there together, exploring the landscape respectfully and deepening our relationship with the woods, paths and living systems that help hold this village.
The intention is simple: that the gathering gives something back to the place that is holding it.

Sa Mola Gran — where some of our time will be spent.

Supported Places
We want The Reconnection Gathering to be as inclusive as possible, while also covering the real costs of holding it well.
A very small number of supported places may be available for people who feel genuinely drawn to attend but cannot meet the full price. If this applies to you, please contact Paul directly and we can have a simple, confidential conversation about what might be possible.
If you are able to pay the full amount, or contribute a little more, your support helps make the gathering more accessible to someone else.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be in a small number of carefully chosen village homes, all within approximately one to two minutes’ walk from the main gathering spaces. The houses are comfortable, characterful and rooted in the village, with wonderful views from the houses, terraces and shared spaces across the surrounding forest, hills and sea beyond.
Some of the homes have access to a private pool, offering an optional invitation to connect with water – through swimming, cooling down, or simply sitting quietly beside it.
Rooms are comfortable and allocated with care once we know the final group. This allows us to take into account solo guests, couples, friends travelling together, the overall group mix and the rooms available.
The founding early confirmed price includes accommodation in a comfortable village room.
If you would like to guarantee your own private room, please let us know when you enquire. A private room supplement may apply, subject to availability.
A reduced shared-room rate may be available for friends or partners booking together, where suitable rooms are available.
Because this is a village-based gathering rather than a hotel, accommodation is limited and will be allocated thoughtfully. You are very welcome to share any preferences when booking, and we will do our best to honour them.
We reserve the right to make small changes to room allocation where needed, always with care and transparency.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need previous retreat experience?
Not at all. You do not need previous experience of retreats, coaching, meditation, journalling or nature-based practice. The gathering is designed to feel welcoming, grounded and accessible. You do not need to arrive with answers. Just come as you are.
What if I am not really a “retreat person”?
That is completely fine. This gathering is not about being a certain kind of person. It is about giving yourself time to pause, breathe, reconnect and spend a few days with nature, good food and thoughtful company. If some retreat language normally makes you uncomfortable, you are still very welcome.
Who is this gathering for?
The Reconnection Gathering is for people who feel drawn to slow down and reconnect. You may be busy, tired, stretched, navigating change, or simply aware that life has become a little too full. You may be a professional, parent, business owner, creative, carer, leader, or someone who has spent a long time holding things together for others. You do not need to be in crisis. Sometimes we simply need space before life becomes too much.
Where does the gathering take place?
The gathering takes place in Galilea, a beautiful, small mountain village in Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains. This is where both Lexy and Paul live, each with their respective families. The gathering is rooted in the village itself, with accommodation in carefully chosen village homes and time spent between shared spaces, terraces, forest paths and the surrounding nature.
When should I arrive and when does the gathering end?
Please plan to arrive in Galilea on Thursday 5 November 2026 at around 3:00pm. This gives you time to settle into your accommodation, arrive gently, and begin slowing down before sunset and the first evening gathering. The gathering will close on Sunday 8 November 2026, with departure expected around 1:00-2:00pm. We recommend arranging travel so that you do not need to rush away immediately after the closing session.
Can I arrive earlier or stay longer?
Possibly, yes. If you would like to arrive in Mallorca before the gathering or stay on afterwards, please let us know. We may be able to recommend accommodation options in Galilea or elsewhere on the island. This can be a lovely way to give yourself a softer arrival or a slower return.
Where will I stay?
Accommodation is included. Participants will stay in a small number of comfortable village homes, all within approximately one to two minutes’ walk from the main gathering spaces. The houses offer wonderful views from their terraces and shared spaces, and some have access to a private pool. Rooms are allocated with care once we know the final group, taking into account solo guests, couples, friends travelling together, room availability and what supports the gathering as a whole.
Can I guarantee my own private room?
Please let us know when you enquire. Some private rooms may be available, subject to the final group and room availability. A private room supplement may apply if you would like to guarantee your own room.
Can I come with a friend or partner?
Yes. Friends, couples and people travelling together are very welcome. Some rooms may work well for two people sharing, and a reduced shared-room rate may be available where suitable rooms are available. Please mention this when you enquire, and we will talk through the best option with you.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Many people are likely to come alone. The gathering is intentionally small and carefully held so people can settle, feel welcome and connect naturally. You will not need to “fit in” or perform. The invitation is to arrive as you are.
What will we actually do?
The gathering will have a gentle rhythm rather than a rigid programme. There may be slow walks with nature, journalling, meaningful conversations, gentle movement, storytelling, forest time, outdoor meals, fireside evenings, quiet solo moments and opportunities to reflect on what matters most.
Will it be fun?
Yes, we hope so. The gathering will include reflection and depth, but it is also designed to feel warm, human and uplifting. Expect shared meals, laughter, conversation, village life, firelight, nature, lightness and simple moments of joy. This is not about being serious all the time. Reconnection often happens through ease, playfulness and feeling human together.
Will it feel too spiritual or intense?
No. The gathering is reflective and meaningful, but also practical, grounded and down to earth. There will be moments of stillness and depth, but also food, humour, conversation, movement, village life and plenty of space simply to be yourself. There is no need to hold any particular belief or use any special language.
Is this a silent retreat?
No. There will be some quiet moments, such as journalling, solo reflection or time sitting with nature, but this is not a silent retreat. Conversation, laughter, shared meals and community are all part of the experience.
How physical is it?
The physical side will be gentle to moderate. We are planning a half-day walk on the first full day. This will be an opportunity to activate the body, arrive more fully, and begin connecting with the surrounding nature. The walk will be adapted to the group, the weather and the conditions on the day. There are many possible routes around Galilea, so we can choose something that feels suitable for the participants who are there. You do not need to be highly fit, but you should feel comfortable walking outdoors on natural terrain, including uneven paths and some uphill sections.
Do I need hiking boots?
Proper hiking boots are not essential, but comfortable walking shoes or trainers with good grip are strongly recommended. The paths around Galilea can be uneven, rocky or steep in places, so footwear matters. In November, it is also worth bringing layers, as mornings and evenings can be cooler in the mountains.
Is this a yoga retreat?
No. There may be gentle movement, stretching, breathwork or grounding practices, but this is not a yoga retreat and there is no expectation of yoga experience or ability.
Will there be time to rest or be alone?
Yes. Spaciousness is central to the gathering. There will be guided moments, but also time to rest, wander, journal, sit quietly, talk, or simply enjoy the village and the mountains. The intention is not to fill every moment. The intention is to create enough space for people to reconnect.
Will I have to share personal things in a group?
No. There will be opportunities for reflection and group conversation, but nothing will be forced. You are always invited to participate in a way that feels right for you. The intention is to create a safe, respectful and welcoming space, not to push anyone beyond their boundaries.
Can I use my phone during the gathering?
A key part of reconnecting is disconnecting. We strongly encourage you to switch off your mobile phone for most of the day during the gathering, so you can be more fully present with nature, with others and with yourself. This is not about punishment or strict control. It is about giving your mind, body and nervous system a rare chance to rest from constant messages, notifications and noise. If you would like extra support with this, you will be welcome to hand your phone in to the facilitators during the day and collect it later. We recommend letting friends, family or work contacts know in advance that you will be mostly offline during the gathering. An emergency contact arrangement can be agreed if needed.
Will there be alcohol or drugs?
The gathering is designed to support a clear, grounded and lucid state of mind. Alcohol is not encouraged, and recreational drugs are not permitted. The evenings will be centred around food, fire, music, conversation, reflection and rest. The intention is to create a space where people can feel fully present, connected and safe.
What is included in the price?
Your place includes three nights’ accommodation in Galilea, all meals prepared by Noemí, tea, coffee and snacks throughout the gathering, all facilitation and group sessions with Lexy and Paul, guided reflection and journalling, nature-based practices, shared circles and meaningful conversations, time outdoors with nature, a retreat journal and a carefully held small-group experience. Flights, airport transfers, taxis, travel insurance, and personal extras are not included.
What is the price?
A limited number of founding early confirmed places are available at 1,450 euros per person, all included, plus VAT if applicable. This includes accommodation, all meals and the full gathering experience. If you would like to guarantee your own private room, a supplement may apply, subject to availability.
How do I reserve my place?
To keep the gathering personal and carefully held, places are reserved directly by email and confirmed with a deposit. Please email paul@paulrodwell.com with the subject line “Reconnection Gathering — Place Request”. In your message, please include your name, whether you are coming alone or with someone else, any room preference, any dietary requirements or allergies, and anything you would like us to know before the gathering. Once your place has been agreed, a 250 euro deposit confirms your booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer. Bank details will be shared by email once your place has been agreed. Your place is confirmed once the deposit has been received.
When is the final balance due?
Final balances are due by 10 September 2026.
Is there a minimum group size?
Yes. The gathering will go ahead with a minimum of 5 confirmed participants by 24 September 2026. If we do not reach this minimum, the gathering will not go ahead and all payments will be refunded in full.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 250 euro deposit secures your place and is non-refundable unless we can fill your place from a waiting list. Final balances are due by 10 September 2026. Cancellations after that point are non-refundable unless we are able to fill the place. If you are ill or suddenly unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Because this is a small residential gathering with limited places and accommodation held for each participant, the deposit remains non-refundable. After the final balance date, we can only offer a refund if we are able to fill your place or you are able to transfer your place to someone suitable, with our agreement. If we need to cancel because the minimum group size is not reached, all payments will be refunded in full.
What will the food be like?
Food is a huge part of the gathering. Meals will be prepared with love and care by Noemí, Paul’s wife. Her food is healthy, generous, delicious and deeply comforting – food that brings people together and makes them want to stay a little longer around the table. Where possible, food will be homemade, seasonal, local and organic. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available throughout the gathering.
What if I have dietary requirements?
Please let us know when you enquire. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs and allergies where possible.
How do I get to Galilea?
Participants fly into Palma de Mallorca Airport. Galilea is well connected from Palma by public bus. The TIB 201 bus links Palma and Galilea via Puigpunyent, with regular services during the day. We will share up-to-date travel guidance before the gathering. Public transport is often the simplest and most affordable way to reach the village. Taxis are also available if you prefer, and we can help participants coordinate shared taxis where possible. Once you are in Galilea, you will not need a car. The accommodation, shared spaces and village meeting points are all within a short walk.
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable clothes, layers for cooler November evenings, walking shoes or trainers with good grip, swimwear if you would like to swim, and anything that helps you feel at home. A retreat journal will be provided. A more detailed packing list will be sent before the gathering.
Do I need to prepare anything before I come?
Not much. Before the gathering, we may send a short welcome note and a few gentle reflection prompts to help you arrive with more intention. These will be optional. The most important preparation is simply to create enough space around your travel, let people know you may be mostly offline, and arrive as you are.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, we strongly recommend travel insurance for peace of mind in case of travel disruption, illness or emergencies.
What about the environment and giving back?
The gathering is rooted in care for place. We will spend time with nature respectfully and aim to leave the places we visit as we find them. Where possible, food will be seasonal, local and organic. The intention is also to put aside 5% of profits for Custodis de Sa Mola Gran, a local community initiative connected to the care and protection of a beautiful piece of land at the top of Galilea.
Will there be other gatherings in the future?
That is the hope. For now, The Reconnection Gathering is intentionally small and may only happen once a year. The focus is on making this experience personal, beautiful and well held. Future gatherings may grow from this, but this first village-based gathering will be small by design.
This Is Your Invitation
Sometimes we need to physically step away from our usual rhythm in order to hear ourselves again.
This gathering is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, breathe, reflect, laugh, rest and remember what matters.
Only once a year. Around five places. Small by design. Held with care.
If something in you is quietly saying, “I think I need this,” perhaps it is worth listening.
Reserve your place: email paul@paulrodwell.com with “Reconnection Gathering — Place Request”.
