Mentoring & Supervision for Coaches
Helping coaches grow their practice with confidence, clarity and care.
Coaching can be one of the most rewarding professions in the world. It can also be surprisingly lonely.
You may be doing work that feels deeply meaningful while quietly wondering how to find clients, build a sustainable practice, develop your own style and keep growing as a coach. There are ethical questions, difficult sessions, professional bodies, marketing decisions and all the things nobody quite tells you when you first train.
I know, because I have been there too.
I have been coaching for more than a decade and have supervised, mentored and supported over 50 coaches on their journey.
Depending on what you need, I can offer a formal space for coaching supervision, more practical professional mentoring, or support with specific aspects of your development as a coach.
Whichever space we are working in, I see myself less as someone standing above you and more as a trusted professional alongside you.
Think of me as someone you can think with, learn with, laugh with and turn to for an honest conversation when you need one.
How my approach shapes my Coach Supervision work

My approach to coaching supervision and mentoring is shaped by a simple belief: coaches flourish when they have a trusted space to reflect honestly, learn continuously and feel supported in the real work of building and sustaining a practice.
Supervision offers something increasingly rare: time to pause, step back and think about your coaching with another experienced coach. Together, we explore not only what is happening within your coaching conversations, but also what is happening within you as the coach.
Drawing on professional coaching, supervision, behavioural science, systems thinking, regenerative thinking and nature-based practice, I help coaches notice the wider patterns influencing their work. We may explore what is energising you, what is challenging you, where your confidence is growing, where ethical questions are emerging, and what support your practice now needs.
This is not about judgement or evaluation. It is about creating the conditions where you can deepen your presence, strengthen your confidence, develop your professional identity and continue offering the very best to your clients.
This is the same philosophy that underpins all of my work. It is simply expressed here through mentoring and supervision for coaches.
My own journey
I am a master’s-level qualified coach and coaching supervisor, holding ILM Level 7 qualifications in both Executive Coaching and Mentoring and Coaching Supervision.
Earlier in my career, I became the first professionally qualified coaching supervisor within the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. I went on to lead a team of supervisors providing both one-to-one and group supervision to an internal coaching cadre of more than 80 coaches, many of whom were working in complex and high-pressure environments.
I now run my own independent coaching practice, so I also understand the very different realities of building a coaching business from the ground up.
I believe that combination matters.
As a supervisor, I can offer a reflective space to explore your coaching, your clients, your ethical responsibilities, your development and what the work may be stirring in you. As a mentor, I can be more practical and share my own experience, ideas and suggestions where that would be useful.
The important thing is that we are clear about which space we are in.
I will also share openly what I have learnt: what has worked, what has been hideously difficult, the mistakes I have made and the lessons I wish someone had shared with me earlier.

What we work on

Our work together will be shaped by where you are and what you most need. In practice, it often moves between three interconnected areas:
Your coaching practice. Reflecting on clients and sessions, exploring ethical questions, noticing what may be happening beneath the surface, and continuing to develop the depth, confidence and quality of your coaching.
Your professional development. Keeping your practice fresh, strengthening your reflective practice, identifying meaningful learning and development, and helping you navigate the expectations of professional bodies such as the ICF, EMCC or Association for Coaching.
Your coaching business. Finding your niche, clarifying who you most want to work with, developing your network, strengthening your personal brand and building a practice that is both professionally credible and commercially sustainable.
Sometimes you may need the reflective depth of supervision. Sometimes you may want the experience-sharing and practical support of mentoring. Often, the most useful thing is simply to have a trusted professional alongside you who understands the difference and can agree clearly with you what would help most.
Specialist areas
Alongside coaching supervision, I offer particular depth in several areas that many coaches find difficult to navigate alone:

Building your network and finding clients
Before coaching, I worked in international hospitality and as a British diplomat: two worlds built around relationships. I can help you understand the network you already have, develop it naturally and create new relationships without turning every conversation into a sales pitch.

Marketing and personal branding
I have gone through the process of building my own brand and practice, and have a background in digital marketing. I can help you think through your positioning, website, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and other channels, while also finding ways to build relationships and opportunities away from social media.

Finding your niche
Trying to be the right coach for everyone rarely works. Together, we can explore where you do your best work, who you genuinely want to serve and how to communicate that clearly and confidently.

Integrating nature into your coaching
For coaches drawn to outdoor or nature-based work, I can help you explore how to bring nature into your practice in a way that feels authentic, grounded and professionally credible.
How we work together
Mentoring and supervision are available online and in person in Mallorca.
I work one-to-one with coaches who want a regular space for reflection, challenge and support. At the beginning of our work, we will agree clearly what you need and whether we are working primarily in supervision, professional mentoring or another form of developmental support.
Supervision offers a confidential and reflective space to explore you and your coaching practice: the work you are holding, the ethical questions that arise, your continuing development and the resources you need to remain well and effective over time.
Mentoring is more practical and experience-based. Here, I may share what I have learnt, offer ideas and suggestions, help you think through your professional direction or support you with the realities of developing a coaching practice.
I also bring coaches together through coaching circles and small-group conversations. These create space for the kind of honest exchanges I believe our profession needs more of: sharing what is working, what is difficult and what we are all still learning.
For coaches who want to step away more deeply, I also offer coaching supervision retreats in Mallorca: dedicated time for reflection, learning, connection and renewal.

What my clients say

Let’s chat
I am not going to pretend that building a coaching practice is easy. It isn’t. But with the right people around you, it can be an extraordinary journey.
You can expect honesty, trust, discretion, challenge, encouragement and humour from me. I will take your work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously, and I will share what I know openly rather than hiding behind a professional smokescreen.
I will also be clear about the nature of our work. Good supervision needs reflection and professional rigour. Good mentoring allows for experience to be shared. Both can be enormously valuable, but they are not quite the same thing.
Most of all, I hope you will see me as someone you can reach out to for a good, honest conversation: a trusted partner who wants to help you and your coaching practice flourish.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose me as your coaching supervisor or mentor?
I bring together professional coaching supervision, real-world leadership experience and the lived experience of building my own coaching practice.
I am a master’s-level qualified coach and coaching supervisor (ILM Level 7), and I have supervised coaches working in both organisational and independent settings. Earlier in my career, I became the first professionally qualified coaching supervisor within the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, where I led a team of supervisors supporting more than 80 internal coaches through both one-to-one and group supervision.
Today, I also understand the realities of running an independent coaching business. I know what it is like to build a practice, find clients, develop a niche, navigate professional accreditation and continue growing as a coach while balancing the commercial realities of self-employment.
What I hope makes me different is that I combine reflective depth with practical experience. I will support you, challenge you when needed, share my own learning openly and always create a safe, confidential space where you can think honestly about your coaching, your development and the kind of coach you want to become.
What is the difference between supervision and mentoring?
The terminology can be confusing because professional bodies use these words in different ways. Put simply, coaching supervision is a broader reflective space focused on you and your practice: your clients, ethical questions, professional development, wellbeing and the quality and impact of your work.
Professional mentoring is more experience-based and may include sharing ideas, knowledge and practical guidance.
The ICF also uses the specific term Mentor Coaching for a particular developmental process focused on observing coaching and giving feedback against the ICF Core Competencies. This is distinct from coaching supervision. I believe it is important to be clear about these differences, so we will always agree at the outset what kind of support you need and the space in which we are working.
Can you help me build my coaching business?
Yes. This usually sits within professional mentoring rather than formal coaching supervision, and I believe it is one of the things our profession sometimes avoids talking about honestly.
We can explore your niche, network, positioning, personal brand and how you find the right clients, both online and through real-world relationships.
Can you support me with professional accreditation?
I can help you think through your development and navigate professional bodies including the ICF, EMCC and Association for Coaching. We can explore their frameworks, what they may mean for your practice and how your continuing professional development can genuinely help you grow, rather than becoming just another box to tick.
Where a professional body has a specific formal requirement, we will be clear about exactly what is needed and whether the support I offer meets that requirement.
Do you offer group supervision?
Yes. I bring coaches together through coaching circles and shared professional conversations, and I can also offer more formal group supervision.
The emphasis is on creating a trusted space where coaches can reflect honestly, learn from one another and feel a little less alone in the work.
